I would tell them you want 0 camber. I would think that would make the tread wear even. I don't know this for sure but it makes sense to me. Personally I would leave it with the "performance" alignment. It handles better.

From everything I have read up on the factory allignment they do it so the car performs a little better but the tread wears faster. If I didn't drive the car hard I might have it adjusted to get more tread life. If it was my DD I would probably change it so my tires lasted longer.

Edit: You might want to call Pfadt and see what they say. I'm sure they would be very helpful.

I'm having mine aligned next week when the new tires are installed. I'm 100% street so I'm going with an alignment that will, hopefully, give me maximum tire life.

Front:

camber -0.6 deg
caster 8.0 deg
toe 0.0 inch

Rear:

camber -o.4 deg
toe 0.0 inch

With exactly zero toe it may want to wander when going straight. I'm surprised it calls for zero.

Default Factory Specs

I just got the factory service manuals. Alignment depends on which suspension you have, FE1, 2, 3, 4, or 5. I haven't found out which suspension applies to which car, but my guess is the FE1, 2, or 3, apply to the base car and the GS car. FE4, and 5, probably apply to the Z06 and the ZR1. Here are the caster, camber, and toe. There are also cross caster, steering wheel angle, and thrust angle specs.

Front
FE1,2 ,3 Camber: -0.45 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Caster: 7.5 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: 0.10 degrees +-0.20 degrees

FE4 Camber: -.95 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Caster: 7.6 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: .10 degrees +-0.20 degrees

FE5 Camber: -1.00 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Caster: 7.7 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: 0.10 degrees +-0.20 degrees

Rear
FE1, 2, 3 Camber: -0.45 degrees +-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: -0.00 degree +-0.20 degrees

FE4 Camber: -1.20 degrees+-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: -0.00 degrees+-0.20 degrees

FE5 Camber: -1.25 degrees+-0.60 degrees
Total Toe: 0.10 degrees+-0.20 degrees

If anyone wants the other specs just ask and I will post those also.

I don't know what a -0.00 is????

The toe is what greatly affects the tire wear. The camber not as much BUT if you have a lot of - or + camber it will then factor in a good amount of toe in or toe out and you tires won't last for long.

I went with the street Pfadt settings but left a little more camber in for spirited driving. I have 0 toe at all four corners and it doesnt pull and handles just fine. I dont track it as it is my DD.

How about spending 5 minutes and become an "expert" on tire alignments. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tirete...e.jsp?techid=4

Then you can measure what your current settings are http://www.davidfarmerstuff.com/align.pdf and decide how you want to change them.

PFADT's Recommended Corvette Alignment Settings:

Pure Street
Front
Camber -0.8deg
Caster 8.0deg
Toe 0.0in

Rear
Camber -0.5deg
Toe 0.0in

Dual Street/Track
Front
Camber -1.2deg
Caster 5 to 8deg
Toe 0.0in

Rear
Camber -0.8deg
Toe 0.0in
Notes: For using street tires and driving to and from the track.
This setting will work for R-compounds at the track.

The inside of my front tires was shot in less than 30,000. I took it to my dealer just before replacing the front tires and told the technician to set up my alignment for maximum tire wear. I don't know the specs he used, but my new front tires have been on for 10,000 miles and they are wearing perfectly.

My car still has the factory allignment, at 7,000 miles, the tire wear is even and the handling is super. When it isn't broke don't mess with it.
