Another newbee here....purchased a 2008 Black coupe 6-speed a few weeks ago. This is a great site and Ive been learning a lot from all the experts. 
I've picked up a few small add-ons but my first major change is going to be to the exhaust. I have been playing on youtube and I think I've narrowed it down to 3. Corsa Sport, Corsa Extreme, and Borla Stingers. The Corsa's seem to have that slight 'rasp' that I think sounds good. Anyone want to donate their $.02?

First, WELCOME! And congratulations. Let me be the first to say, no pics is a No-No.
I have the NPP's on my current 2010. Had Corsa Sports on my 2006. I liked the sound, but my wife didn't. She didn't think they were American muscle car loud enough. More of a European V-8 rasp. I thought better than stock.
You have to go listen to different exhausts. Some sound great at a show, but you wouldn't want to make a weekend trip with them. Drone when cruising on a highway/Interstate is a consideration.
Anyway, congrats, and post pics of your new ride.

I have a black 08, manual also...Corsa xtremes all the way.....but get the 4 inch tips ..part number 14960...as you can see it fills up the whole area and sounds...awesome.!!!! No more purring cat....now its a lion!! LOL

I didn't care for the sound of my Corsa Extremes. Why? Sounded to Euro for me.
I've listened to the Borla Stingers in person (can't compare to youtube video) and they really sound American and meaty.
I've got rear mounted turbos now with no mufflers. Yes, it sounds wicked.

I've been out of town for the last 2 weeks and I picked up the new vette 3 days before I left. I'll post a few pictures once I get home
