Onstar is at times the only thing that will work in the northwest mountains. Or other no cell areas. At the cabin ( Glennie) in northeast Mi. you have no carries that work. Onstar is the only game How long is the offer good for? Vert shoud be out in April.

I called OnStar (Blue Button) two days ago, they gave me 1 free year and I purchased 60 minutes of phone talk time for $4.99

We will see what happens in 6 months

In order to get a free year, do you have to wait for the trial to expire. Or, will they extend for 12 months just by pressing the blue button?

I registered for their contest (as seen on TV!) and they offered 6 months free so I took them up on it. They then asked for my CC and I declined and said they could bill me (which they said they would do as we got closer to the 6 month cutoff).

I figured I had nothing to lose (and I was registered for the contest at the same time)

Gee, Nothing happens when my blue OnStar button is pushed. I think because it's disconnected at the buss. Poor, sad, OnStar doesn't get any vehicle data monitoring from my Corvette.

I'm kinda interested in Onstar for the safety features, but a few comments here made me go read the Onstar terms and conditions, so now I am still on the fence.

I'm still under my free trial - called up and after arguing with a couple of agents was told they were setting me up with the 1 yr safe and sound plan for free.. I just logged into my profile on their site and it does not show the updated info.

Will keep you posted.
