Default Replacing Sway Bars

I finally bought the Z51 sway bars from Gene Culley. My question is can these be swapped with the car on jack stands with the weight off the suspension or does it have to be done with the weight on the suspension, like the car being on ramps? Thanks in advance for any help.

Just jack the car up and put em on. They move up and down with the suspension.

You can do it either way. What you DON'T want to do is disconnect the bar with only one side of the car jacked up, as the sways are really torsion bars, and uneven jacking will preload them.
