what offset? You can fit up to 10" wide wheels up front w/ base C6 fenders with a +56 offset.

For a 9.5 wheel I think you'd want a 265 front tire

i don't really know anything about all that offset stuff.I'm just talking about taking a 18x9.5 rim a sticking it on the front of my 08 z51..how much work is really involved making it correct??My z06 conversion has turned into a freakin nightmare!

offset determines how much the wheel 'pokes out' or 'sinks in'

Like if you have an 18x8.5 stock wheel w/ a +56 offset and move to a 18x9.5 w/ a +56 offset also, that extra inch has to go somewhere. With the +56 offset it will extend 13mm further into the inside of the car and poke out 13mm closer to the edge of the fender.

here's a good calculator:

http://www.1010tires.com/wheeloffsetcalculator.asp

and for example, a C6Z stock front wheel has a +40 offset, so it sends all the extra wheel width out towards the fender and 'pokes out' on stock c6 fenders.

If you get an 18x9.5 wheel with a +56 offset you'll be fine. Do not order with a +40 offset.

Where are you looking to purchase your wheels from? All resellers usually post the offsets or will speak with you when you order to select the right one. Since you need to have the +56 offset front for base C6 fenders and +59 rear offset for Z06 rear fenders (vs. the +79 you'd usually need for C6 base rear fenders) you should probably call or email the reseller and confirm the non-standard sizing you need.

Here's an 18x10 on a 275 tire with C6 offset.

tally, that looks normal!I already have rear wheels in 19x12's.Gotta get the z fenders which i hope to get this week.I saw a full set of z wheels in comp gray some where other then here.Long story on my whole conversion, but let's just say ordered parts were never actually ordered placed after i got off the phone, and other items were ordered, sent but ended up not being what i thought they were and so on and so on...So,I have to rear comp gray Z wheels.I need two fronts to match in comp gray. All i'm seeing out here are the matching wheels in black, which means i either by 2 and paint them or buy all 4 and deal with returning the other wheels and go black, not comp gray.BIG PITA~~!!! AND I STILL DON'T KNOW HOW TO TURN ON FREAKIN SPELL CHECK ON THIS COMPUTER!!!

I will tell you that you can put the stock tires on a 9.5" wide front wheel and it will work. That's what I have been running for 6 months. I have Ace Slicks which have a 9.5" wide front and 11" wide rears and I have stock OEM tires on the front and back.
