Not Wolfdogs
2nd, I know some of the ribbing to Wolfdog is in good fun but some is a bit annoying. He likes Zaino, it works well for him, but he's not going around doing a hard sell on Zaino on this forum, he's just letting results speak for themselves but everyone is always challenging him. It also always amazes me that the 20-ish group is so quick to point out their age in any discussion (not only vettes). What's with that? Is it a security / maturity issue?
Why your age, or the fact you own a cat was / is important to this string I have no clue..... You could have very easily said I do not to use Zaino but I wanted to share some photos of my shined up AW Z06 and let it at that.
I was in in J&L Harley in Sioux Falls this past Friday night with a friend who was finishing up a deal on 2011 soft-tail and out of the blue this younger guy walks up to us and the very first thing out of his mouth was "nice bike man, I'm 23 and I bought a 2010 soft-tail last year". Now couldn't he have just said "nice bike man, I bought a 2010 soft-tail last year"? My friend being excited about his purchase Thanked him and talked with him for a few minutes, but once this guy walked away my friend said "nice guy but why was his age important to that conversation?"
Seems like the 20-ish crowd thinks folks won't respect them if they don't mention their age.
OP..... obviously whatever your doing, you've been successful enough to have nice things in life which is great. Just a word of advice however...... Let your maturity come out in a conversation verses forcing it by starting with telling how old you are. For me, when you have to tell me your age, it's an immediate sign of insecurity.
Unwolfdogs: white vs black car, cat vs wolf, zaino vs turlewax in the wash, and, it pains me to say, 25 years old vs mature like wolfdogs. I am also "very mature" and appreciate the OP's humor.
Not every post on this forum needs to solve world hunger... geez, I hope I'm not all crotchety, uptight and over-analytical when I'm old.

oh yeah... I AM old.

btw... can't wait to whip out all the new Zaino stuff I got for Christmas when the snow finally melts around here

MD is a WAY to expensive state..I pay $2000.00 a month in rent..split with the girlfriend...but, I do have a garage on site!

I don't think he meant anything bad or "immature" by posting his age. Seems there's always someone who has to nitpick every thread.

We are all in this together. I admire anyone that takes the time and effort to make their vette shine and keep it detailed, no matter what they use. Ive said that as many times as my pictures have appeared but it seems some folks forget that.....
, Im not doing a hard sell on Zaino... will I defend it? yes..just like folks defend Rejex and other products.. because I believe in it and what its done for my cars over the years..The majority of these type of threads are for fun, thats why we are here, Im not here to bicker... there really is no reason or room for that.....
so, with that.. im gonna post a picture of my 08 Pontiac Solstice gXP

she's gone to a deserving home now, just wasn't my cup of tea at all

have to admit, Poncho did a better overall paint job on this car than chevy did on my vette... 90% less orange peel!

the cars in this thread look awesome, eps that red vette...

I don't know wolfdog, just read his posts and look at his pic's. He seems like a great guy to me. I have never seen anything shine like his car. That black is sweet. I want wolfdog to do a AW for someone ( I know he's always helping, teaching ) and post pic's.
WOLFDOG YOU CAN DO IT!

Damn that reflection is incredible.
Thanks to all for the complement on the red z06. I was just messin with BSSN. The jesting goes a way back when he was posting here and at the Viper forums on his next purchase. I doubted his intentions, but he did prove me wrong.
BSSN - your Z06 is sweet. Love a white Z with the dark headlights.
Its all in good fun.

if I had owned his car at 25,,,I would be proud and loud also,,,

Wolfdogs is real big on mentioning his age around here. Talking about how buff he is for his age, etc. He isn't conceited and he doesn't do it in a rude way, he's just having fun--much like I was. I mentioned my age as a counterpoint, since he is proud to be "older" and still young at heart and fit. Why would you care how old I am or what I can afford? Read the topic. Understand the subject. Stop looking for zebras when you hear hoofbeats. 25 is a bit old to be bragging about being "young" and affording things like a Z06.

The fact that I mentioned the cat, along with the age, should have been a HUGE heads-up here that I was painting myself as a polar opposite of WOLFDOGS. However, I guess you thought I was bragging about how baller it is to own a cat...at 25. Or maybe me mentioning my apartment and storing my car in a mini-storage was another try at greatness? No offense to you wolfdogs, you have a sense of humor and it comes through wonderfully in your posts.

I'm sorry you and your friend had to go through that.
Seems like the 20-ish crowd thinks folks won't respect them if they don't mention their age.
Your respect (or lack) is not something that keeps me awake at night. I have friends, and I do right by them. I have a job, and I perform it to the best of my ability. I have standards, and I uphold them as best I can. If anyone respects me / disrespects me, that is their prerogative about which I do not care unless they put their hands on me.

Thankyou, and the same to you. Obviously you are ageist and have a thing against younger guys. My post wasn't anything but a counterpoint to Wolfdogs BLACK car. Love for CANINES. Use if ZAINO. Possession of a CANNON camera. Etc.
Instead, you went and grabbed at ONE thing and created this monster rant about who you think I am, based on other younger people you "know".

Feel free to chime in, with more pix of your 'vette. I love looking at them!

The Solstice is more metal than glass/CF, right? If so, it has less OP because the paint dries from the panel-outward. On a 'vette, the paint dries from the surface-down. That is what causes the OP from what I understand.
the cars in this thread look awesome, eps that red vette...

Thanks, glad at least a few people were able to enjoy my subtle humor, lol

Same here. I work in healthcare, and just like young guys, there are some old guys that are a pain, but on the flip-side, there are some darn cool people in both camps and I love meeting 'em! Lots of stuff the previous generations can tell us younger guys about that we weren't there for, and would never know about if not.
oh yeah... I AM old.

Only if you think you are.
btw... can't wait to whip out all the new Zaino stuff I got for Christmas when the snow finally melts around here

Ok.. that does it... I'll put a stop to this... Im posting a real picture of me at 64, I'll have to tell this guy Ive been paying to be me to step down......

Love that car! Have shown it to friends as well. Way to go Wolfdogs. I could never own a black car again. I admire your dedication (obsession?)

Damn, I'm afraid to even mention my age. Not to brag, or be arrogant like some people might perceive, as there is apparently no reason to even post an age. I've learned not to care what others think, or want to say. Everyone is going to have an opinion, and that's how it is. Doesn't mean I have to agree. I do agree, however, that some opinions go better un said, because it either takes away from the original point of the thread, or people have nothing better to do than to start a fight on a public, and what I thought to be a "mature" forum.
I completely get where you were going with this thread. You were being light hearted, and funny about it. And the person you were jokingly poking at even thought it was all in fun.
It is what it is. Nice car, btw
