Default Widebody conversion question

I have been told by some members that you can install the widebody fenders and 1/4 panels without replacing either the front or rear bumper covers. I have also then been told this is untrue, so before attempting this change I'd like to know if anybody has done it without the bumper covers and the results.

I am not asking questions about paint match, I just want to know if the fenders and 1/4's will fit the OEM bumper covers (front and rear).

rear you do not need to replace rear fascia, it is the same on ALL c6 Corvettes.
The front, you DO need to replace the bumper as it needs to be wider to compensate for the wider front fenders.
There are however, some aftermarket fenders that will fit with the stock front bumper, but the quality is poor.

Rear 1/4's will fit without changing anything else. Front fenders and nose need to be changed with the front conversion.

In the rear the bumper is reused. If you do the front widebody you must use a Z06 bumper. From what I also understand is if you do the front widebody conversion there will be a gap where the inner fenders meet the wider front fenders. I don't know what others have done to correct this but that is one of the things holding me back from doing the front widebody.

Put new inner fender liners on, thats what I did. They are just glued to the frame, remove and glue in the wider ones.

Some people just leave the gap, and others replace the whole inner fender liner. I was just cruising through the parts for sale section and saw that Corvette Recyclers is now offering a panel to cover the gap for somewhere under $100. Looked like a nice piece.

Thanks

Surely if you're interested in purchasing any wide body parts, I'd surely be happy to help you out with them.

Please keep in mind the front conversions do not come with the large plastic wheelhouses that are glued to the frame. You will have to fill a gap of about 1” between the wheelhouse and the fender. The ZR1 conversion does not include ZR1 splitter, hood, side rockers, etc. The front conversions also do not come with Z06 fender emblems, ZR1 fender emblems, except for the Grand Sport kit that does come with front fender emblems. They do come with a new front bumper emblem. Any of the add-ons are extra and I would be happy to add them.

We did this on mine by cutting the existing wheelhouse and fiberglassing a new section in.

(complete photos of the conversion can be seen here):
