I am thinking about going with non-runflat tires when I replace these. Has anyone had any problems with doing that? Those run flats sure are expensive!
I just replaced my tires on my coupe. I priced the continental dws non run flats and they were just three hundred dollas less than the tires i bought which are michilen pilot sport all season runflats. The conti was in short supply for the rear tires so i went with the runflats.

Love my Hankooks! Way cheaper, and quieter. Would have gone with the Nittos but they were on national back order when I needed them.
I just keep a plug kit and compresser in the trunk. They handle much better too, much more progressive @ the limit.
I think the main question is how secure you feel with no spare tire and non-RFs. I have seen posts where guys carry tire repair materials and an air pump. It is whatever it takes to make YOU comfortable. For me, I am basically insecure and like the RFs.
I got towing coverage on my insurance. It was an extra $4 per year.
Let's hope they don't send Goober Gumdrop to pick up the car.The $$ I spent on my new run-flats would turn out to be real cheap when he does some damage.

Since the insurance company would be paying for the damage I wouldn't worry about that.
Just put on my 2nd set of non-runflats. 60,000 miles on the 1st set. I carry a compressor, low profile scissor jack, plug kit and needle nose vise grips just in case.

I will NEVER buy a set of Goodyear runfcraps and everytime I get a vette with those tires on them I pull them off and put non-runflats on. I'll take my chances and carry a flat repair kit vs have terrible ride quality and hard roller skate tires that have minimal grip and even less grip in the cold or rain.
Runflats might help you limp to the place where you need to get your tire fixed or off the road, but I have also seen people hit pot-holes so bad they damage the rim... the runflat is then useless..keep driving on bent wheel and you can damage other suspension parts.
Just replaced my stock GY's (15K+) with Firestone Firehawk WO rft's. Very happy with the ride and peace of mind they offer so far. Hearing about the mileage that everyone who has them is getting, helped make my mind up as well.
