Most of you guys are smart enough to read a tread depth gauge. Buy one and learn how to use it. It is not rocket science. It will save you a lot of grief and money over the years. Mine is 40 years old and has been well used. Later! Frank
I had the front and rear alignment checked on my 2010 Z52 GS at 1,000 miles, a number of the features were found to be outside the factory tolerance range, which definitely would have contributed to uneven and premature tread wear.
My GS is a non-tracker, so the tech set all of the features to the mean to maximize tread life on my Goodyear F1 SuperCar tires, which at best is lousy to begin with even under normal driving conditions.
Mine didn't pull, but I noticed uneven wear after a few thousand miles. Had it checked out, and they were all a little off w/ one being somewhat significantly out of alignment. Had it all lined up correctly, and no issues since. The problem isn't the factory alignment guys, I saw them do their work as well, it's the fact that they're aligning an unsettled suspension. A few feet of rumble strips is not adequate to set the suspension.
Mine was out from the factory. It was within the 'green band" on the alignment machine, but some setting were to the left and some to the right. I prefer the setting at the center of the green band.

The problem with the factory alignment is that the criteria is a broad + or - setting AND the fact that the guy doing the check only has a few minutes. My last alignment took 30+ minutes on the rack plus the time to get it on and off the rack.
