I am planning on buying the R888 305 or 295 (stock rear C6 size) for the rear and I was wondering if you have driving your car in the rain with these tires? If so were you in "control" of the car or was it just to hard to keep the car undercontrol? I have about 470rwhp and should be at about 500rwhp on motor and will have a 100shot so I need tires that can hook. I hear the r888 are ideal but I do drive my car daily and will have to drive it inthe rain. I just don't want to wreck the car cause of not gripping with the r888 in the rain.
I also hear that the INVO is a good tire but I think I will spin those when I double clutch or need the grip... However I think the INVO will be a good tire to drive in the rain. Any ideas?! Or suggestions? Thanks in advance
I don't remember it being a problem when I was running those same tires. Assuming you have decent tread depth I think you'll be fine. Now Driving in the rain in my Mickey Thompsons is .

So with good thread in the rain they were drivable in the rain?
How long did they last? Like mile wise... Most of the racing will be done form a roll, or very low speeds. So taking that into consideration. Doubt I would take it to the track. If I do it would be maybe once or twice a year.
Depend's on your comfort level, but certainly not the best choice for rainy day driving. I road track my car on Hoosier R6's and drive to/from the track on them. Luckily I did some light grooving on these, as got caught in some pretty bad rain storm's, but still pretty scary. Only drove home on these in the rain because I had to, but I'd think pretty hard about running track type tire's on a daily ride.
Yea I didn't think much about driing with them in the rain. I took them off after I don't know how many miles, maybe 3k. I needed more traction and switched to Mickey Thompsons. They still look good and I have them for twisty track days.
