I think the way your 08 AO convertible is done is fantastic. I wouldn't change a thing.
What was your total cost of the conversion? Paint, panels, install? How many days was your car out of commission?

SIGNIFICANT price difference for one...
The GS front fenders are SMC while the ZR1 panels are carbon fiber.

have to admit i opened this thread up not expection a whole lot from a conversion thing but wow ---- excellent pics and the car looks sooooo awesome!!
all the the body lines look perfect!! if you did that work yourself, veryyyyy nice!!

Total about $10K & 3 Weeks
Parts $4K
Rims & Tires $2K
Body Shop $4K
I think the body shop did a great job and it was worth it!

4k for paint and installation?
seems too much for 5 direct fit oem panels.
maybe its the AO color because thats a tough one to match i hear

Around $10k too, maybe a few benjamins less. But I had my entire csr painted...it's a much better paint job, sanded and buffed with no orange peel.
It's a lot of work to swap all 5 panels and all the supporting items.

Very nice job It will be a bit more difficult to make the 1012 conversion but Im looking forward to pictures.

I also had my body shop paint the entire car this way it would be perfect.
