Was coming back from the hardware store today and turned hard left and water sloshed on my right foot from the floor vent. When I got home, pulled the AC Motor and about a gallon of water came out. Caught most of it with a shop vac. I pulled and lubricated the motor but I can't find the condensate line which must be plugged. Any one have any ideas?
Evidently this is a real problem on C5's. I have only owned mine for a couple of months and am still getting used to all the quirks of the Vette! 2002 with only 50 thousand on the car so I couldn't pass it up!
Thanks again Rick! Will be working on it first thing Sat Morning.

This is a fairly common problem on all a/c equipped cars, more common on older cars or cars in high dust environments, sediment can clog the drain tube or port. Sometimes a well directed shot of compressed air will displace the clog. Another method is to use a shop vac with the appropriate sized hose to reach the drain.

Well thanks to ALL! The drains on the driver's side looked like an 80 yr old alcoholic smoker's arteries. Completely blocked but VERY easy to get to. The drain behind the right head was a different story. After a lot of dis-assembly and saying bad things about GM engineers I got to it. The trick is to pull the battery and box so that you can slide some of the cables out of the way. Again, completely blocked. Have a dehumidifier running in the car right now to dry it out.
Thanks again for restoring my faith in regular folks. I am sure that the dealer would have charged hundreds for this service and all I was out was a few hours of my time. Thanks to a Corvette NEWBIE!
