I was just on the Vette site build your own vehicle, and found no reference to the optional rear end ratios that used to be available. Have they been discontinued?

I believe only the 2.73 is available on a6, where as the 2.56 use to be standard.
2.73 comes with the automatic tranny on the Grand Sport models. 2.56 still comes with the base Vette, no performance axle available. This info. is for 2011 model year.

At least this is what the order book indicates.
That sounds right, I think the 2.73 used to be lumped in with a handling option so it was likely dropped when GS came along.

Discontinued as a stand alone option for model years 2010 and 2011. 2.73's come standard on the GS models with automatic trans.
My 2009 A6 came with 2.73's as a stand alone option.
You are correct! It was originally offered as part of the Z51 package as well as a stand alone for 2008 and 2009 model years.
2.56 is the standard axle on most C6 auto's, with the 2.73 for the GS's. Really not a big deal, since first gear on the A6 is 4.05, or a ratio combination most 60's muscle car guy's would be wetting themselve's over. M6 car's get 3.42 axles, but the tranny's first is only 2.66, so pretty close. GS M6's get slightly lower tranny gearing to offset the extra curb weight.
