Take a look at my "new for me" Corvette that I purchased in January of this year. A 2007 Indy 500 Pace Car... I was looking for an Atomic Orange car, a convertible, and preferably a 6-speed... Well I ended up with all 3 of my choices... It only had 9000 miles on it. We've finally had a couple of nice weekends up here in Canada, so I was able to take it out... It's a blast to drive. I just got back from getting the windows tinted this morning.
Let me explain the "technically" now... I bought a 1970 Corvette convertible in August of 2001, I took 1 drive in it, then brought it to my cousin's for a frame-off restoration. Well... it's still there which will be 10 years this summer. Some of you know how these things go. For those of you who are interested in Vette restoration websites with pictures, I have a little over a couple hundred pictures of the restoration... you can see it at www.9teen70vette.com
Thanks to all the forum contributors, as I have been visiting this site very often lately for answers to all my questions.
Very nice, even nicer is buying a vette abd being able to drive it right away. I personally would not be able to a 70 vette and not be able to drive it for the past 10 years.
On your 70 vette, any reason you didn't do an engine rebuild as long as you had it out of the car?
Well at the time when I bought it, it had been rebuilt the year before... but in hindsight after sitting all these years, a "refresh" probably would have been advisable... I guess I'll have to keep my fingers crossed.
