Ok I know this topic has been posted numerous times and I did a search but my problem seems unique.I have an intermittent "Service Active Handling" light that comes on occasionally when I start my car.If i turn it off and restart it 99% of the time it will clear the DIC.I also notice when driving with the SAH on turning right won't register on the G-meter only left.Well anyway here's my dilemma. When I brought it in for service at my local Chevy dealer the SAH was illuminating but they had to turn the car off to hook up the scan tool.Well the SAH light went off and there obviously were no codes. The dealership wants to keep my car overnight. The twenty something techs were drooling at the mouth.I don't think they ever worked on a 505hp car as the dealer only has one base vette on the showroom floor. My car is a February build 09 Z06 so I thought the comb fix is done at the factory or would my car be under the TSB for the comb fix?I just want to know what any of you would do?I am very particular about my car like all of you are I'm sure so having my car as a back lot tester for a few days is not an option.Any ideas?
I live in the Tampa bay area and have no luck finding a decent dealer that knows and respects these cars.
There's a Pontiac, Buick, and GMC dealership/body shop off of Hillsborough Ave. There are some VERY good mechanics there that really know their stuff. I wont name names but give the shop a call, express your concerns and I'm confident you'll be taken very good care of. The number is: (813) 774-5456
