C-INRED,

This may be an obvious question, but has your friend noticed any obvious changes when he turns the switch on?
Yeah, any trouble with knowing where he is and when it is...?

The power outlet in center console is a "constant on" type. (Always connected to the battery regardless of ignition or accessory power on or off) I think this button cuts the power to the center console power outlet. The previous owner put it so he does not have to plug/unplug the charging device from the outlet... Please try and let us know? Thanks.

It looks a lot like the "vibrating seat mode switch" You do have heated seats, right?

Is it not an option to just ask the previous owner?

Car is an A6, but the DRL option is one worth exploring.

It does have heated seats, but no vibrators.

Not an option, at this point! California car, shipped to Texas.

Well if it's a California mod, it's probably the clothing optional button

I do know this switch is not stock from the research I have done. I have been wrong before so if you find something else out, let us know. Some of the suggestions on this thread have quite literally made me laugh out loud.

Great thread. Good luck with figuring out what the switch is for.
