MP3 Input Jack
depending on how comfortable you are with modifications, you can add your own several different ways. Most of these ways involve hijacking the xm radio cables (you can retain XM functionality when there's no aux cable plugged in).
check the Audio/Electronics section, in the C6 audio FAQ for a listing of the modifications.
I ended up taking a different approach to this AUX input. I couldn't stand having to constantly change it back to channnel 0 everytime I wanted to play the ipod. At the same time I didn't want to completely cut XM out of the picture either. Furthermore I wanted to look as clean and factory as possible. So I bought the following 1/8 panel mount Stereo input:

This jack had 5 leads one ground and four for the right and left signals. This works very similar to a laptop whereby when you plug in the headphones it cuts off the signal to two of the leads in this case #3 and #4 that you see in the schematic

So what I decided to do was run a ground + 4 wires from the XM module back to this panel mount. from the module itself I ran the left and right signals to lead #3 and #4 on the panel mount.
I used the following Delphi terminal connectors that fit right into the OEM plug , delphi part # 15445905

From the wiring end I ran the left and right channel to leads 2 and 5 on the panel and grounded #1.
I mounted this next to the cigarette lighter and the resulting look is below, very subtle, almost looks factory.
The result - I plug in my ipod it cuts off XM and you don't have to mess with getting to channel 0. Pull out the plug XM works like factory, no relays, no nothing. One thing I do have an issue with is If I have a cableplugged in and no ipod it hear a slight humming. I might have to ground it somewhere else, I used the chassis of the XM radio.
I also devised a line - level output cable from my Ipod's DOC connector to the 1/8 jack- but I think it sounds better from the headphone jack itself.
