Default Pulled the trigger

On order: 2011 3LT GS vert MT - blk/blk/blk - comp-gray wheels - nav; nada mas. Local (very good) dealer. GM Supplier Discount and - with GM rebate - way under invoice. Put $2K down; no trade-in; will pay cash. Clean deal.

Tried two dealers with GM Supplier Discount. First one said he would not order or locate a car for a GSU sale. Second one said sure and we closed the deal the next day. First guy must not want to sell cars...

Why buy 2011 when Vette Bash and 2012 revelations just around the corner? Am guessing that it will be same car and $2K under invoice is hard to pass by. The Centennial edition is beautiful, but expect that supply and pricing will be hassles.

Last vette was '90 C4 vert. Miserable maintenance problems but loved the car. Have been through 8 BMWs since. Fantastic cars, but boring after awhile. In Z4 35i now but looking forward to being back in the fold.

Congrats, got my 11 GS a few weeks ago and love it. Wanted to wait for the C7, but figured it was at least a few more years in the making. (would not want to buy the 1st year). The GS is a vast improvement over my C5. Good Luck !

that is great advise with most cars its not a good idea to buy the first year that's when all the real world problems that were not discovered during testing come out and get fixed.

Congrats on the new ride.

...know what you mean about pulling the trigger... can be tough... took me 37 years... just bought my first vette... I drove one in 74 and never even sat in one (didn't dare) until I bought an 08 a few weeks ago... really happy to have finally joined vette nation! Looking to have a whole bunch of fun with it and this is part of it for me...

Boy are you in for a treat! You will not miss that C4 after a few miles in your new set of wheels. At least you will be appreciative of Corvette development since the 80s tech! Congrats!
