Does anyone know where the best deals are for a rebuildable corvette? I know about Copart and IAA web sites but was wondering if there is a better place. Somewhere that you don't need a license to bid/purchaces or pay a broker $2000 bucks for doing paperwork. Just curious.

What years, price range and damage are you looking at?
C6 for sure and wouldn't want to spend much more than $10,000 for something wrecked. I would prefer something that needs little or no work to the frame but at the same time I realize beggars can't be choosers.
A friend of mine runs a Corvette salvage yard and I see him buy a lot of salvage C6's and for 10K you're only going to get a basket case C6 in my opinion.
A working drive line in a C6 will sell for 7-10K alone depending on the mileage. I think you are going to need to come up a bit to get anything repairable. I would say 12k minimum for a 2005 with high miles that is repairable. That will probably be either be a flood or require a frame pull.
Most non flood salvage vehicles will require a frame pull and multiple panels. Most times the insurance companies won't total a car for just superficial damage. Yes, it does happen but in those cases you will be bidding against guys who do this for a living and most likely won't get the car in the lower range of prices.
All that said, if you do most of the work yourself you can get a decent driver for 15-17k all-in but since the car will be worth 50% at sale time it is often just cheaper overall to buy a nice 2005 clean titled, high mileage car.
