It was nice to meet other members of this forum. Not a bad show my wife and I enjoyed the show. My wife was very lucky at the casino on fri hit 1250 on a nickle slot machine that made the weekend. Thanks to the forum members that said Hello JAY
Why are there other kinds of cars on display if this is a "Strickly Corvette" show?
My guess? Not enough Corvette people are showing up to these large events, and they're having to bring in the Muscle cars and street rods to make up for it.
I was there and it was a great show! There was so much room for more cars too. This type of show is what you plan 6 months to attend. Well judged, well planned and executed. Kudo's to Kenny and the Liberty Corvette club! The only thing missing was more Corvette's! I mean for $30 you park your car inside all weekend under security. That's cheaper than parking anywhere in Atlantic City all weekend! Despite Saturday afternoon's rain, it was awesome! The best of show winner's car was a sight to behold. For those that missed it, plan and go.
I enjoyed the show. I thought it was better than last year. More vendors and great cars. (Could have done without the Batman character though. Scary dude.) However, I heard a rumor that this would be the last year for this show. I hope not. Anybody got a line on this?
Batman had to be the best part of the show! Oh and let's not forget the guccified corvette . That cars interior alone might be worth more than entire car.
I enjoyed the show but the turn out was very bad. I can't see how they can keep the show going year after year if the turnout is goin to be like this. The weather Saturday certainly didn't help. Drove in from staten island and saw not 1 vette on the GSP which was a bad sign.
We came down Saturday and didn't see one vette either on the GSP. I was reallly surprised the turn out was so low. I really think the date had something to do with it. For the people who put their cars away for the winter I think it was to early for the show. Many of us are just getting our cars out and cleaned up. Any time after May 1 I think would have been better. Heck we just a snow 2 weeks ago, Also, I agree the weather didn't help either. I know some guys didn't go because of it.
