Default Painted emblems...

Anybody paint the front and rear crossflags instead of using decals?

These are done from the back side so the the paint isn't exposed

Can you elaborate a little bit on how this was done? I'm a little confused by what you mean about painted from the backside...

The emblems are three pieces. Using a heat gun warm up each side and remove the two inserts, they are held in with silicone. I started at the base of the flags and bent the emblems slightly to expose a corner and used a pencil screwdriver underneath to lift the insert out, but be careful because they will break.

I found that Autozones brand of carb cleaner will not damage the plastic and I cleaned off the factory color and applied mine. I reglued the insert back into the emblem.

If you want a colored border use the 05-07 emblems. If you want the chrome border use the 08-current emblem.

There is a vender here that does these but they paint the outside of the insert, maybe they will do the backside, like the factory, if asked.

I removed all my Corvette emblems on my C6....gives it a " smooth and sinister " look. I am the only one that I know of that did this.

My C6 coupe is black....I put some black " Jake " vinyl decals on....and " C6.R " in place of the stock Corvette Emblems....I love them. Can't even tell until you're up close.
