Sorry if it's old news but just got email from NCM offering 3M and Clearshield with discounts for members. More fuel to the fire of "should I or shouldn't I".
Will the paint be cured enough to not be an issue? I know on repainted front bumpers, etc. there is a wait time suggested before installation. Perhaps the factory paint application process/baking makes this not necessary. Whoever they choose as an installer better be good, or we'll be hearing about it here...

You're right - you want to wait for the paint to properly cure before slapping a clear bra over it (or even waxing it for that matter)
I'm sure the paint is cured before the car leaves the line as well....
Come on guys, give the engineers at the corvette factory, and the museum some credit. Do you really think they would allow that to be put on at the museum if it would cause damage?
The bumpers are painted in a different factory iirc.
BTW: This is a great idea! The clear bra business is taking off for sure! I think sooner or later it will be offered at every dealership. I hate to say it but there is a market to put clear bra on anything and everything, cell phones, ipads, tvs, you name it.
I saw their prices and they are WAYYYYYY high... easily double what I charge. They are also using 3M film which is one of the lower end films out there. If I didnt have a great business here I would move out there and do installs at the museum. I use better films, charge much less, and have installed film on more Corvettes than probably anyone around... so business would be good. Unfortuntely there are not any reputable shops in that area so the museum is the only option you have if going that route.
I agree with the price comment. Locally (in MN) they charge $650 for the bumper/hood/mirror application compared to $1,100 and change for the NCM Lifetime member price on their website. I know "it's only money", but just about double the price for the convenience is a bit much IMO.
