Default Battery Charge - Fast or Slow - 2 amp - 10 amp - 30 amp ???

I understand leaving a Battery Tender trickle charger on it while "in storage" or garaged for the winter... but if charging it after setting a "week or two" where a Battery Tender can not be used everyday, and want to charge it up to full capacity, should it be charged at 2 amps, or 10 amps, or 30 amps?

If time permits, it is always better to charge at a smaller rate of charge.

A Battery Tender charges the battery using about a 1 to 2 amp charge until it is fully charged. After that it maintains the float voltage using a "trickle charge". The only difference between charging with a battery and a 30-amp charger is the amount of time it will take to fully charge the battery. Most "smart" battery chargers will start with 10 or 30-amps but as the battery charges (about 80%), it will start to drop the charge rate. By the time its at 98% of fully charged, the rate will be around 1-amp or less.
