side view mirror problem

side view mirror problem
I was driving the Z today and noticed my passenger side mirror glass moving a lot. When I checked it out I noticed it has 2 mounts but one was missing. Can I buy just the "guts" behind the glass or a clip? Thanks

I agree with the above. You may be able to get lucky at a dealership as well. It may not hurt to check with them to see if they have anything that could help.

Looks like you'll have to replace the whole mirror.
Don't forget, if you have XM there's an antenna inside it too.
Try Corvette Recyclers, you may get lucky.

Yep. Or a used one that still has the innards. As others have said, try around for a used one. If you have the parts fixing it's not difficult.
Post a want ad in the C6 Parts forum. You might get lucky. Note that there are several combinations possible: w/wo light sensitive glass, w/wo digital audio, left/right.
New ones are not cheap. Yikes! Sorry GM but this is really obscene.

Now I wish I'd held onto the one the body shop replaced on my wife's car.
