Active Handling Issue

Active handling kicked on in turns and shut off cruise control while driving at speed limit between Ft. Stockton and Sanderson (West Texas) this past Friday. Road was dry, car was stable, and there was no reason, other than an issue with the system, for it to kick on. It also kicked on without the cruise control engaged.

I've been on this road before without this happening.

Any ideas on what the culprit could be or if there is a common faulty part?

Car is 2009 Coupe with auto trans.

If you use the telescopic column often, it could be the connector under there being pulled on and having intermittent contact.
