Tint Help
I'm picking up my new VY GS today and made a few calls to get the windows tinted. Only 2 companies will do it in my area which is Northeast Pa. One wants $300 and the other $350. The company I would prefer to do it will only put 5% on the rear window which is too dark for me .I would like to go 20% all around. He said he has to use a thicker tint to make the rear window look good. Any opinions or suggestions?

Damm: that is to much $$$$$ for tint.I had my 2 vettes done at one of the best shops in town for $229.00 which is expensive down here,there are at least 100 shops here,most are $99.00,some less.Bottom line is that in Texas & most States they can only go as far as the LAW will allow.,..,..,.Goood luck.

Those prices are crazy and why will they only put 5% on the rear? They should put on what YOU want not what they want. And just for comparison I got my 2 side windows done yesterday for $80. I think that's a fair price.

what kinda of tint ceramic, carbon. either way that price is a lil high. i payed right at $250 to get mine done it 18% carbon suntek tint. they also did a 13'' strip across the top of windsheild. they prob only wanna do 5% on rear window cuz that all their tinter is comfortable using. i would find another shop. even if you have to drive to get it done. make sure they garuntee they can do rear glass in one piece. also i used suntek tint because they offer a nationwide warranty on their product. if you ever have a prob with your tint you can take it to any suntek dealer nationwide and suntek will pay to have tint fixed.
