So they get new tires and a little better interior. I'm sorry but I think those are some pretty weak upgrades. Lets hope this is because GM is using all its "brainpower" for C7 devolopment. When I read performance upgrades I was thinking it would actully something significant. Oh well C7 will be here soon I just hope its not ugly.
After years of people griping about the seats, they change them in the last year of C6 production??? ... Well, MAYBE what we have is a preview of the new seats for the C7.
Last year "pull-aheads" are not uncommon to help maintain sales in the last year of production, when everyone is anticipating the next model . My 2004 got the F55 MSRC technology specifically for this reason (according to David Hill). IIRC, my LS1 picked up a couple detail improvements seen in the LS2 as well.
Also, last-years tend to get loaded up with previously optional equipment to make the outgoing cars look like "better values" -- I'll guessing that's at least part of the reason the Nav radio is now included in the 2LT package.
I think for those that just want some music and are not die hard fans of big stereos, this will be fine. My stock non bose in my vette now is good enough for me. If you are a die hard stereo buff then I dont htink any stock setup will satify those people and they should just by the stock setup and upgrade to their likings.
Agree that the stock sound system works well for what it is meant to do. With road noise, engine noise, other vehicle noise, etc., how can you really 'enjoy' a great stereo sound in any vehicle. For that pleasure, I sit at home with a McIntosh amp, pre-amp and tuner/other input device playing through a pair of old but great Rectlinear III Highboy speakers or an equally old pair of Koss headphones.

Yep. You can't blame them for holding back on the 2012 model since the C7 is just around the corner.
There is no reason it needs to increase in power...the Z06 is fast/powerful enough as is.
maybe for you. there is never enough power. look at all the guys over 1000 wheel hp tell them 505 is good.
the new 6.4L hemi is 475hp, the new shelby gt500 kr is 800hp. gm is getting lazy with the LS7. 6 years in production and no improvements. i just dynoed a ford flex i did a cold air, cat back exhaust and tune it made 378 wheel horsepower. thats a all wheel drive 3.5L turbo toaster on wheels out to kill vettes. gm needs to step up or they are gonna get embarresed.
Chevrolet officials noted all 2012 models will also feature the "quick release" stereo head unit, allowing easy removal of the stock piece for customers wishing to upgrade their audio equipment.
After years of people griping about the seats, they change them in the last year of C6 production??? Wasn't the main reason they didn't change them was the high cost of re-certification? Well, MAYBE what we have is a preview of the new seats for the C7.
Who knows?
Or maybe this is not the last year of the C6. I don't hear many comments or critics stating the C6 looks out of style.
Is the Z51 Package still only available on the Grand Sport, or can you get it on the base model? Does the Grand Sport still have the same "gills" on it?
There is no such thing as a Z51 package anymore. It does not exist.
