Finally have a c6 to add to my series of Corvetts Now I can say I have had at least one of each series.
The car was involved in a rear end fender bender ( cracker) I got it at auction with no past history . Battery was dead when it was delivered HUD not working.. Power top not working.. Rear hatch will not open.
I have no owners manual So I need your help I have got to open the hatch to replace the bumper cover This Is a Convertible
Thank you for the help
Are you saying the trunk lid won't open with the key?
The keyturns with no stop around and around no open the button in the car will not work either. It would not be a stretch of the imagination for someone at the auction to disable the car to get a better price
When the top is released the windows go down Nothing else are all the problems linked to a common issue?
Check in the trunk to see if divider is snapped in the up position. On the right side there is a safety switch, the top will not go down without the partition in the up position. I broke mine and just tied the wire together to override it till i got a new switch.
Once you get the electrics powered up, the HUD has settings for both brightness and position. Either one, set wrong, can make the HUD "disappear".
Hold the brightness control toward 'bright' for about 10 seconds, then try moving the position up and down. If your car has the memory system, you need to set the HUD for both fob 1 and fob 2.

When the battery is removed or dies, the car no longer knows where the "up" position of the windows is. If the car does not know where the "up" position is, it will not allow the top to go up. Once you have a good battery, run both windows up to the top position holding the window switches up for three second, release, hold switches up for three seconds again. Then try raising the top (after verifying the partition switch mentioned above appears to be ok).

Thanks for the suggestions I will try them tomorrow as I am pooped from making the rear lock work. I am a disabled Viet Nam Vet and cannot do much anymore. Looking forward to getting all the bugs out, I still have a C-5 Vert to get me by

When you get the issues resolved, you'll love it!
