So I put 4 new Hankook tires on my ride (got rid of the Goodyears) and had a 4 wheel alignment done. The next day when i got over 58MPH i heard this strange resonance noise. Went back and had all the work verified and noise was still there. Made an appointment at MacMulkin and they took my precious into the shop yesterday. I see the tech take a ride about 1/2 hour later then back to the shop and dismantled the right rear. After an hour he takes it for another ride and returns to tell me all set, wheel berring on the right rear was defective and by the way there is a minor oil leak in the oil pan. drop it off and we will take care of it under warranty for you. Total time in the shop 1 1/2 hours and no charge. Sound is gone and its like a new ride with the Goodyears gone. I i will say that MacMulkin service was an excellent experience.
Always nice to read of great service as you all too often read of the horror stories when others have their Vette serviced. Glad it all went well for you.
No they are not run flats. The noise with runflats in my opion is not acceptable.
Opinion?
Your service experience sounds like the level provided at my dealer. Not every Chevy dealer knows what they are doing with Corvettes. Glad you have that available.
WOW!! Glad to hear all is ok. At first I thought this was going to be a Hankook review
I just ordered mine yesterday - should be here sometime this week. I can't wait. not only bout the the noise or lack there of, but for the performance too. So now I'm going to get a can or two of air something safe for TPMS I already have a plug kit but you know, I've had this car for 6 years and never had a flat and that was factored in to my decision to get non runflats. knock on wood

I have Firestones RF'S & they do not make any noise,..,,.????
I also just took the RF's off, I had no idea how much noise they made until they were off the car, also had no idea how much they tramlined until they were gone. I went with Nitto Invo.
I will make a note of this. Thank you for the compliment. Can you PM me the city and State they are located in and I will add it to the list of recommended dealers?
