Default Check active handling system

tech question
I have been getting the "check active handling/traction control system" message and when this comes on it also says, brake light and check Brake fluid. Funny, since i installed Mild to Wild remote controler this has happened. I topped off the brake fluid which was seemingly low for and 09 with only 10500 miles. dont think mild to wild has any part in this. going to dealer wed to see if any codes stored for check out. any commments on these messages being triggered. Could the brake fluid being low enough trigger this message.

Default Active Handling System

I have "2005"; I was getting the "Service Active Handling System" intermittantly. GM changed the Brake switch and reprogrammed it. That didn't fix it though, so they finally found a broken wire in the Brake switch wire harness. The wire was broken inside the wire sheathing, so it was hard to find. All is well now.
Note: Usually a low Brake fluid reservoir is an indication of worn brake pad; you should try Not to add Brake fluid because when the brakes are changed the fluid will rise and possibly overflow.
Good Luck,

Additional speed bumps were installed at my girfriend's neighborhood. These are GOD-AWEFUL speedbumps. Anyway, I went over it (grounded out) and my active handling lights went nuts!!! After turning off and on the car, it was fine. I go over the bumps REALLY slow and angled now!

Mine comes on from time to time when I enter my driveway, I have a high curb to roll over and I approach it at angle and once in a while I get the warning. It must be that one wheel is turning faster than the other and senses the error. It goes away after I turn the car off.

Default Active Handling System

If you have an Automatic Trans and the Active Handling System comes on when you Start your car, you might not be able to get it out of Gear (Park).
If this happens, turn the car off and Put ignition into "ACC" mode then put shifter in "Neutral", then start it. You will be able to change gears then.
Good Luck,

Let us know what you come up with and what the dealer may have found.

Good luck on your repair.

I have the same problem with my 2006 coupe. The alarm comes on at different times but at least once each day I drive it. Sometimes it occurs as soon as I start the car and other times on cornering or pulling up on curbs. I had the electrical connectors greased at the wheels but that didn't fix it. Do I need to grease the connector at the brake switch too. If so where do I find it?

I've gotton the service active handling system/traction control warning as well. I had installed a oil catch can and the hose got loose causing a vacuum leak, which cause the code.

If you've done anything under the hood that could have pulled loose vacuum lines, that could also be the cause.

There was a TSB about this, involving a wiring harness that was too short (if memory serves) so that when you turned the steering wheel, stress was put on the harness. I would think that was fixed by 2009 model year, but maybe it's worth the question to the service department.
