Default Driver window will not index

Well battery went dead the other day, and sure enough one window will index and the drivers side will not. I tried the sequences in the book and on the forum search. Out of ideas, anyone have anything for me?

When I had this issue, I disconnected the battery and left it disconnected for an hour. Hooked it back up and was good to go.

Disconnecting the battery again might help.

If not, try doing the index procedure for both the "up" and "down" positions.

There's a fix in the owners manual...something like roll the window all the way up then hold the up button for 3 second then repeat...it worked for me...maybe it's 5 seconds can't remember

He's done that.

For some reason the window has lost it's home location in the upper position. The sensor thinks it's all the way up when in fact it isn't. Disconnecting the battery for a period of time will clear the error in the window module memory and it should revert to normal.

At least that's what has worked for me.

Since I disconnect my battery when not in use this happens to me periodically. Just disconnect the battery for a minute and try again.

I saw a post a few weeks back with the same problem. If you have the "window valet" installed remove it.

You have gotten this already, but disconnecting it does seem to help. Disconnect, and then attempt to re-index again.

Good luck.

When I first did it, I only disconnected the battery for a minute or so, and then reconnected. Did nothing. Tried it again, this time leaving it disconnected for 45 minutes. That fixed it.

Seems that extended time clears the memory and reverts it to normal "home" settings.
