I have read the 'search' area but it is not clear to me. See the pictures below
I have removed the wire harness from the tranny. The picture of my skip shift eliminator has a black sealer on the narrow end. Do I remove this black sealer. Do I remove (as shown in the picture the blue guard on the skip shift eliminator? Does the narrow end (black end) of the skip shift eliminator go into the tranny? Do I separate the white end from the black end on the eliminator?
Does anyone have a step by step process to installing the eliminator? I tried to call the 'help line' but they have not responded.
Hopefully, my pictures are attached.
Thanks
Remove the white plug.... That part goes on the transmission to plug the sensor .
The black part above attaches to the wires that you removed from the trans.
Those should be the two halves, male and female, exactly like the shift solenoid connection. All you are doing is disconnecting your solenoid wire from your trans and using these two hales to cap the wires and plugs on your car. Unplug the two halves you have in your picture and connect:
New male to car female
New female to car male
The one that goes onto the wire that becomes disconnected should have a small resistor inside of it. This disconnected wire will be dangling when you have used these two connectors to cap your existing connections. use a zip tie to tie it up out of the way to your trans.
