safety

How safe are corvettes in a accident.I looked all over the car and this thing has thin fibreglass panels.I sure hope the super structure is solid.because in a bad accident i wonder how well one would make out.
Don't get me wrong i love my corvette but it would be a little peace of mind knowing just how safe they are.I looked at the safty stats for it but didn't get much help there

very safe. of course, you can kill yourself with an accident in the bath tub, but as cars go, Corvettes are very safe. hope that reassures you.

The bottom line here is if you hit the back of a parked semi,you're in trouble!If you hit a wall doing 100+ mph you're in trouble. Don't let the fiberglass fool you.There is a cage around the driver for protection among many other items in the car that will indeed save you in an accident.Technology and laws make it a safer Vette then all prior models!
