When did it become fashionable to hang your "velvet elvis" type artwork under the hood of a car?
I do not see the connection between the death scenes, dragons and polar bears to an engine compartment of a car.
There is obvious talent involved, but why put it there?
My first car (the polar bears) was to make a memory of milestones in my life that year - a trip to Churchill to see the bears migrate, purchase of my first vette, turned 50, and made it to full retirement/hospialization at work. Most people don't even know the engine bay looks like that. It's more for my personal enjoyment.
The Z - well the '08 turned out so good I HAD to do something under that cars hood. Again, for my enjoyment. Looks great at gatherings and shows; great conversation piece. And if you don't want anyone to know it's there - keep the hood closed.
I guess it's sort of the mod or don't mod thing. And I sort of like seeing everyone's creations - what they like, what passions they have.

No connection to the car just what I like.
During the spring and fall I'll participate in about 10 car shows and that is when the airbrushed liner is on the car. The rest of the time when I'm just driving the car I have a regular crossed flags hoodliner. As soon as I get the walls in my garage done I'm going to find a way to hang the liner next to the car when its not installed.
Looks to be made by the same manufacturer. Even the inlet plenum looks to be exactly the same ... but the housing of the supercharger has a totally different design between the two.
