Something i didn't know.....
I had a 2005 Coupe that came with just the tinted see-through top.
I wanted to also have a body-color top, so I found one for sale and bought it.
The early C6 tops had a recall for FTS (Flying Top Syndrome) because they were coming unbonded and flying off the car (only the painted tops had this problem).
I took mine in to get the recall work done, but they looked up the VIN and saw that my painted top didn't come with the car from the factory and denied to do the fix because only RPO items listed on the sticker in the glove compartment and associated with the VIN of the car were under warranty.
I called GM and said "WTF, it's a GM top!!!" (to my knowledge there still is not an aftermarket top available for the C6). I explained that I was notifying my insurance company so that if the top went flying off the car and through the windshield of somebody following me, or took off the head of some guy riding a motorcycle behind me, the insurance people could go after GM for a big settlement because they refused to do a repair required by a safety recall.
A couple weeks later I got a call from the dealer to bring the top in for repair. It turned out that GM had called them and told them to do it under the "safety recall" required by the NHTSA and DOT, rather than as a warranty repair.
So.....if you have something that wasn't an RPO installed on the car at the factory, don't expect them to cover it under the car's warranty.

For those people that responded (and actually have reading comprehension skills) the Corvette tech guy (Lee) called me and said he was able to adjust the latch for me.
