Well after hell and high water i found an amazing deal on a black 2006 and i couldnt be happier.
Yes im young and the other "kid" in the pic is my younger brother in awe
Just get used to saying, "It's not Dad's...it's MINE."
Haha, I just half to learn how to fill it up. Everytime i add gas it shuts off after going to 1/2 tank. Im thinking its just a picky car and i have to hold it myself or get the right angle.
Drive it responsibly. These cars have so much power they can easily get away from you. As a young dude you don't have to show everyone you're king of the road. The car says that. Just cruise in it and keep it nice. To many young people wrap these cars around trees or phone polls showing off.
Congrats Good for you, going directly to the real thing, skipping the Cameros/Firebirds/Mustangs/Challengers, which are nice, but nothing like the Vette. Drive careful.

Spoolin, this is great advice.
I demonstrated to both of my kids how jumping on the throttle can get the car upset, and under controlled conditions let them experience the same. The car, or any other very high performance car, can bite before you know what happened.

I appreciate the concern. I am only 22 and i like to think im far more responsible then most my age . I have worked and paid for the car myself and have alot of respect for the power it has. I autox for fun and intend to let loose the ponies on the track where its safe and i can truly learn the car and its limits.

+1 to what's in red. I have YET to have anyone even hint that they want to run me. Driven by SS's, SRT8's, etc. and they all just relegate themselves to the slow lane and let me on by.
What the hey? Yesterday you said you found "the one" and I am pretty sure it was a so called "silver Z51" Less than 24 hours later you bought a Black one? Cool!
