Why is it that the performance numbers vary so much when it comes to Motortrend, Car and Driver, Motorweek, etc...? I just watched a Motorweek review of the 2005 Vette and they were getting 0-60 times of 4.8 seconds and a 1/4 mile in the low 13s.
I know weather conditions, driver, and track conditions all play a part but geez, are the numbers that skewed and vary that much.
plus alot of the time the cars the manufactors send to be reveiwed arent ''stock"" they have hopped up tunes in them and different tires from what they are sold with. car companies have been doing this for along time and probally will forever.
if you wanna know true numbers test it yourself. or read ''aftermarket mags. where the test they do are on privatly owned cars not ones they are sent from the manufactor.
