06 Vette battery was dead, I charged it, and now it won't recognize either FOB, any quick fixes? I can start the car by putting the FOB in the slot in the glove box, or do I have to take it to the dealer?, thanks in advance
It's just a communications glitch. First try pushing the lock and then unlock button a couple of times on the fob and see if the car responds. If it does not disconnect the car battery negative terminal and reconnect it. You will need to reset the window index after the battery disconnect.
There is nothing about a dead battery that will cause the car to loose the fob settings. There is however a communications sequence that keeps the fob and the car in sequence with the rolling codes that they use (to prevent intercepting the signal). If they get out of sequence, the pressing of the lock and unlock buttons should help that.
