5 min install. Negative to the black pin, positive to the middle pink pin. Unplug the mirror plug and you will see the wires. After you put the pins in ,secure the phone cord with the zipp ties. REMARK: The pin cord is fine for the Passport, Bell, Cobra but it could be an inch longer for V1. It still fits but a little too snug in case you would like to run it so it's not visible.

I was wondering if V1 had a design change . . . You did a good. BTW, the reason certain mounts have vibes is because they're made of plastic (piece that cradles the mount itself anyway). Been putting up with my VetteMods for years now but I've always liked the Blendmount. That piece is not plastic, correct?

The V1 original cradle is plastic, I hope Blendmount would come up with a metal cradle for it but there might be some copyrights issues. I have it braced up with the cushion provided with the Blendmount and it is very solid. I plan to machine mine out of magnesium for a more solid fit and also for a better heat transfer.

Got your PM Greg and responded. When I still had my 350Z, I had looked into the Belmount. They didn't offer them for the vette back then. It looks good, however, the cost and plastic are issues.

Blendmount doesn't sell plastic it's the Valentine 1 that needs to change. It is still the best detector on the market.

Correct. And the same for the Vettemods (the one I have). They're both very good quality. It's the V1's to fix. But obviously not that big of an issue for them.

Hmmm....I have a V1, and am getting a power cord from Corvettemods.com. This post have given me some ideas on perhaps fashioning something of my own to mount the V1. I'm not real wild about having it hang down below the mirror like it does with the blendmount (personal preference), and the cost....well...that's a bit turn off.

Hmmm.......
