I didn't see the thread and I'm interested, did I miss it?

And although some use the term "glass" roof, it's not. It's plastic, just like the painted roof. The more accurate term is transparent roof.
Uh, no, it is not "just like the painted roof". The painted roof is made of SMC (sheet molded compound) just like the body panels on the car. The transparent roof panel is made of a lighter polycarbonate material.

I have had the clear roof on for over one year and like the looks of the car with that roof on but was wondering if anyone ever had issues when changing roofs?
I have the dual roof package and probably use the clear one more the colored one. The two tops give the car a completely different look. This is what I do with one of them when not in use. The other one stays with the car.

I only have the clear top on my car. When the summer sun is beating me to death, assuming I don't have the top off, I use a removable headliner.

A few cheap hooks and I store the painted roof up and out of the way until summer.

I have both and have had on 3 vettes.. To me it's not an option to go with just one.

The lexan is just wonderful and it makes it feels so much more roomy inside the car. Winter and cool Spring days are about as good as it gets!

Now that it turned summer, like almost overnight, off with the clear and on with the colored top. Makes a huge difference in heat build-up inside the car. And if you had a Z06, for a minute you sort of feel like you're in one as the space all of a sudden seems "confined"...

I wouldn't think about leaving the spare in my garage. It gets a blanket wrap and in the spare closet it goes.

Just swapped mine to solid moments ago for the long hot summer ahead.....

I use both about equal amounts. I also use the solid in summer, I like the completely different look and feel.

Default both tops

I had both tops on my C5 and now again with C6 GS.

I run the glass top from about September till the end of June when it really gets warm. Then I go with the body colored top.

I got a vinyl cover that fits either top from E bay for 50 bucks and usally store it in tha basement till I switch them out.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Could you provide a link on where to purchase the bracket?

Thanks

Sorry, bought the car used and it was laying in the hatch. Maybe someone else will know where to find them.

I made a shelf on the ceiling of my garage for the other top.

I've got both tops. I've got a bracket that will mount to the wall and hold the other top.

Pretty much the same for me.... It does however really change the look of the car! I think I'm going to start using my BRAND NEW body color one pretty soon... been sitting in a bag doing absolutely nothing for several years now!

I will be changing form the transparent top to the painted top in about a week for the summer and then back to the transparent top for the fall. We were on a cruise yesterday and it can get uncomfortable even with the air on as the sun does radiate though. As mentioned, it does change the look of the Vette.
