Dual Roof Package

Uh, no, your math is off just a little. If you just go with the painted roof when you order a car, the painted roof costs you nothing extra.
But when you pay $1400 for the dual roof option, you've paid $1400 for the transparent roof. It costs you an extra $750 to have the transparent roof INSTEAD of the painted roof.
And although some use the term "glass" roof, it's not. It's plastic, just like the painted roof. The more accurate term is transparent roof.

Would anyone have advice or point me to a link that discusses the dual roof package. Interested in how many actually changes their roofs and at what frequency. Also interested if there is a good way to store the extra roof besides setting in the back of the car? Is there a bracket designed for the purpose allowing the roof to be hung on a wall? I have had the clear roof on for over one year and like the looks of the car with that roof on but was wondering if anyone ever had issues when changing roofs?

I only have the clear top on my car. When the summer sun is beating me to death, assuming I don't have the top off, I use a removable headliner.

I have both and have had on 3 vettes.. To me it's not an option to go with just one.
The lexan is just wonderful and it makes it feels so much more roomy inside the car. Winter and cool Spring days are about as good as it gets!
Now that it turned summer, like almost overnight, off with the clear and on with the colored top. Makes a huge difference in heat build-up inside the car. And if you had a Z06, for a minute you sort of feel like you're in one as the space all of a sudden seems "confined"...
I wouldn't think about leaving the spare in my garage. It gets a blanket wrap and in the spare closet it goes.
Just swapped mine to solid moments ago for the long hot summer ahead.....

both tops
I had both tops on my C5 and now again with C6 GS.
I run the glass top from about September till the end of June when it really gets warm. Then I go with the body colored top.
I got a vinyl cover that fits either top from E bay for 50 bucks and usally store it in tha basement till I switch them out.

I have the dual roof package and probably use the clear one more the colored one. The two tops give the car a completely different look. This is what I do with one of them when not in use. The other one stays with the car.

That is exactly what I am looking for. Could you provide a link on where to purchase the bracket?
Thanks

Dual Roof is one of the best options from both a practical and cosmetic aspect. Spring and Summer the solid top will keep the interior of the Car much, much cooler. In the Fall and Winter I use the glass top, keeps the Car warmer with a panoramic view. Also, the two tops substanially change the look of the Car. Glass top is sporty, solid top is racy. Feels like two different Cars. When I get tired of one "look" I switch over to the other. Those that have the option. And, never use one of the tops are missing out. Also, did I mention the option will make the Car worth more on resale.
