escort 8500 sound volume/v1/9500ix better?
Hey all, I have my 8500 hooked up with the invisacord attached to my RVM...seems to work fine but I noticed in my vert the sound/alarm just isn't loud enough to be heard. Especially of course with the top down and or music playing. Does anyone know if the V1 or 9500ix sound output is louder?

V1 can be set pretty loud, but going fast enough without the top can drown out almost anything.
I have the "concealed" display for the V1 mounted on top of my steering column, so the arrows catch my eye in addition to the audio.

The V1 is really a nice unit. The volume is pretty loud when turned all the way up.
If that doesnt get your attention you could always grab a DashTronix Radar Projector and have the V1 alerts display in your HUD or DIC. It really gets your attention even if you cant hear the V1 audio.
