Purchased a brand new Z06 Z07 in April, traded a very nice 2008 Coupe LT4 Z51, 2010 Silverado and 2010 Malibu LTZ for it.
It took 500 miles, driven over 6 weeks to find that the oil pressure gauge drops to zero, the car cranks for 5-8 seconds before firing, the radio and a/c randomly shut off and the display color changes, when and if it comes back on!
These issues were found after I had notified the dealer that there was a strange little 1/4 hole drilled in the rocker panel near where the carbon side skirts are mounted and the carbon roof panel has cracks in the paint under the clear coat.
It's in the shop, I am driving a Malibu, no root cause identified.
Other than that, it's fast as stink, corners like a UFO changes direction, and sounds like a race car on pump gas.
Any make car can have problems and Corvette is no exception. I owned a problem prone BMW...my friend has a new Mercedes that's having all kinds of issues. It happens. I'll venture to say the vast majority of C6 owners are satisfied with the quality and reliability of their cars. My 2005 has been tight and incredibly problem free (despite heavy, hard track use). If you honestly believe Corvette quality sucks I respectfully suggest you sell the Corvette and buy a different make car.
What is this, "a complain about your Corvette" only thread? ...and then compare it to your wonderful foreign car? Misery loves company, I suppose.
Actually your comments are just adding insult to injury.
I'm not going to explain it again. If you don't get it, you just don't get it and thanks for adding another useless reply.
It apparently never ends for me…
The latest problem now is I just noticed the weatherstripping along the A-pillars is actually coming up along the driver side. I tried using a little super glue but it didn't work very well. Looks like the whole trim piece will need to be replaced. I hope this is the last of it.
Once again, LOVE the car… but just hate my apparently bad luck as these problems aren't happening to the majority of owners out there. I don't want company for misery, just want to know how others with issues fared and to what extent their problems were. Has this new issue hhappened to ANYONE out there? I know people have replaced the weatherstripping due to it looking horrible, but I have a much worse problem than aesthetics.
