So last night I pull into the lot for our monthly Atomic City Corvettes club meeting and park my JSB GS next to the pres.'s MR '06. Our vanity plates read: XLR8N and FAZZT! XLR8N FAZZT. How cool is that? Club members got a good laugh out of it.
As some of you may know, New York's latest plates are "empire gold" meaning they've gone back to the way they were in the '70s (correct me if I'm wrong about the era). They're supposed to be retro, which they are, but they're also hideous.
So I just had to chuckle the other day when I saw a BMW 7 Series with an empire gold plate that read: UGLYPL8

We have the old style plates on all our vehicles and renewed the registrations to keep them. As long as I can keep the old color we will.
