start button issue...
I had a local shop install a full stereo upgrade last month, when they finished and i got the car back I noticed the start button moved a little more than before nothing too bad just wasnt firm, today I got in the car, pressed the start button and the left side popped behind the dash. Its now stuck somewhat sideways with the left side behind the dash.
Any advice if its broken completely? just not reassembled correctly and off a snap or something? I dont know how it attaches back there so I really dont know how bad said problem is.

There have been several posts here in the past about the start button coming loose and falling into the dash. I did a search on "start button" for the last 12 months, but none of those threads were for that situation.
Use the search option for "start button" and for threads older than one year and on search this forum (C6 General).

It can usually just be snapped back in place but you have to pop out the dash to get to it.
Forum Vendor SunsetOrangeCreations had a video on their site showing how to get the dash apart. At least I think it was them.
It looked really easy, you just need to know where to grab it and have the confidence to give it a good yank.

didnt see the video anywhere checked their site and youtube but i found an old post on a thread that described the order to take it apart and get to so ill do that in the morning and see if the clips are broken or just not attached
