Default Anyone add SLP resonators?

Anyone add resonators to an X (or H) pipe to reduce drone? Was it worth your time?

SLP has some 4" dia. resonators that I am thinking about adding to my Z06 Bullet PRT system to change the resonant frequency. Just wondering if anyone has already tried it?

All I can say is that I added the SLP Loudmouth II supposed to have less drone than the regular LM, anyway I love this exhaust. Doesnt bother me too much.

Idk about less drone, but I have serious drone even with the Exotic Vette insulation AND the Blockit mat. It doesnt bother me either UNLESS Im trying to talk on the phone. Not only can I not hear but the person on the other end hears only the drone.
I also have AR Headers and their high flow cats.

If the resonators work im in

I guess the cheapest way to try this is I need to get another 3" H-pipe first, so I can keep mine the way it is. If some one has one for sale, let me know.

I purchased an H-pipe from a forum member and have the resonators on order, hopefully next weekend I will have it all welded together and ready for testing.

Resonators came in today, 2.93lbs each. So with the pipe I will cut out of the H-pipe, the weight difference will be just a few lbs maybe.

I am going to try longer inlet tubes at first and work my way a little shorter at a time to see if that makes a difference.

The quality looks pretty good, nice welds and a seamless flowing transition from 4 to 3 inches on each side.

I have to repair a noisy tranny on my coworkers Honda, so hopefully I will still have at least one test complete this wekend.

I have resonators on mine. The LG's, with the A6, and the Corsa Sorts was a little much. The 'nators made it just right.

Lookin good. I may have to try this out on my setup.

Catless longtubes with stingers is pretty loud, and after I cam it it will be absurd. Resonators might help just tame it down a tad.

Do the resonators change the tone of the exhaust much?

I have the resonators welded at the rear, but I should have ordered the 3" band clamps for the front. No one seems to have them local. Hopefully I can get them tomorrow, it will be a few weeks if not. I have to take a business trip to Minn.

OK, I installed the H-pipe with the resonators today. This first attempt really didn't make to much difference.

The internal pipes into the resonators are 1" shy from the full length of the resonator. From 1600rpm's and lower it is a little less drone, but at 2K it is just as loud as it was before.

I will cut the pipes inside shorter and try again, this should have been the greatest difference, so we will see. I am also picking up an X-pipe tomorrow and will try to see if there are any changes with that. Maybe the X-pipe would be better to start with.

Well i see this thread hasnt been in action for a while but ill throw my 2 cents in. I have a C5 and had to get rid of some rasp and drone from my system so i welded a set of corsa resonators from a C4 kit to the stock H and hooked it up to my LT's. Did exactly what i needed without really changing the sound at all, only problem is they were a bit on the heavy side.
