Default c6 rear identification

I recently picked up a new c6 3:15 rear. It was advertised as a c5, so I purchased it. Turned out to be a c6. It came out of a Chevy dealer that GM closed about two years ago. Is there anyway to determine what year c6 it would fit? I see where most rears are advertised as 2006 thru 2010. Is a 2005 different? I want to sell it since I have no use for it, but want to advertise it as to the correct year. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

If you have proof that it's a C6 AND has 3.15 gears then it has to be 2005.

2005 is the only year the C6 was available with the 3.15.

2005's had weak rearends. 2006+ they changed them, but just because it has 3.15s in it doesn't mean it came from the factory that way, so that wouldn't prove or disprove what year it is.
