I plan to change out my calipers one at a time. The plan is remove one, install the new one and then bleed that one and move on to the next caliper.
Reading the blogs on bleeding the calipers, there seem to be a lot of people that have issues. I have changed calipers on other cars in the past and bled them using the old fashion method, having someone press on the pedal while I opened and closed the bleeder. Will this method work with a C6
Yes you can change them 1 at a time and use the brake pedal method. Try to do the passenger rear first then the driver front then the driver rear etc. You might want to change out to stainless Steel hoses for a nice improvement. The Motive power bleeder makes the job a one person operation and there cheap.
will work fine. have done many C6's this way. one thing to remember, is be sure to get new copper washers for the brake caliper lines. two per caliper. gm says to replace them when changing lines or calipers.
no it wont. but just be shure to take your time .....dont let the master cylinder run dry.. keep filling with fluid.. when you bleed the caliper..also if you can buy a power bleeder makes job alot easier...done this alot
