I always thought that when you push the recirc button it TURNS ON the AC!

Yup..... I'm a wuss.

In the '82, it's a different story! T-tops off at all times... 100 degrees? Yup.

Running your AC with the top down helps reduce the effect of global warming.

In Texas you have to run the A/C in order to have the top down in the summer.

It's hard to believe but it makes a huge difference in comfort having cold air blowing on you.
Thanks for your input
I don't understand "icing the compressor"? You can run it all the time, if you want. that's what the auto setting is for. Just set the temp. you want and you're good to go. It won't harm anything.

Absolutely. I live in Fla. My AC -both sides - is set on 60 whether the top is up or down. I just use the fan to control it.

Otherwise, the top down in Florida in summer would be unbearable.

You know, you can always tell the tourists from the locals by the way they drive their convertibles. The locals have the top down in winter and up in summer. The tourists have the tops down in summer.

Same here. 20 degrees in the winter top down heat on.

It was severe clear and 103 the other day, Top is always down all summer unless it's actually raining. Something about that little hint of cool air hitting you while baking. The top of my head has the best tan...

An open car with full A/C in the summer, or full heat in the winter, is great!

Hey I drove about 1500 miles through Florida last month. 90% with the top down. I'm brown enough to prove it. I burn the heck out of my ears. Just about got my head to the miserable point.
