Yesterday on the way home I saw the plastic bag and swerved to avoid it, then I watched the rear view mirror hoping I would see the bag again. About 2 miles down the road my engine temp was climbing, 220, 225, 230, 235, etc. Houston traffic on the toll road is not the place to pull over. Sure enough I sucked that bag in front of the radiator. I am always scared the wife will drive and not know this has happened.
it's actually likely to happen in just about any car, but C6 maybe more likely. swerving to avoid can be dicey depending on who's around you and what's around you. hope you got it out ok.
not only do they cause what happened to you, they are responsible for a lot of cruelty situations involving animals...
Unforrtunately true. I have a good friend that got her dog that way. It was dumped in the road in a bag in a rain storm. They saw the bag move and stopped and a puppy was in it. It's hair all shaved off. Malnourished. I hope the dumpee is dead in the bushes somewhere.

My ac shut off because the car got hot but I got it out and she dropped back below 200* pretty quick.
i had one get sucked into the front right brake cooling vent then stuck in the wheel and made a hell of a racket. when i stop and saw what it was i was surpised....
I like em cuz you can carry out 8 or so bags of groceries at once but other than that they are bad news.
The bags are not the problem, it's the people that litter that are the problem.Plastic bags are 100% recyclable. I work for a small group of grocery stores and can tell you it's about cost. Plastic bags cost about 3 cents vs paper at about 9 cents each. When you you use 50 thousand plus bags a week it adds up.

They have played hell with the water pick-up on the boat outdrive. It will burn a water pump in seconds. Not a fun job floating in the middle of the river at 115 deg.

Was driving the Z home from LA (new purchase) and I saw smoke coming from under the car. Stopped on Highway 5 to see what was wrong. A plastic bag had attached itself to one of the exhaust pipes.
I too have pulled bags out of the air intake. Other than plastic bags I have found a small bird, diaper, part of a plastic water bottle, leaves and a hat bill.
