Here is a pic taken from an install. You can see the top line of the deflector running through the line of sight but the etching does not interfere with the line of vision (barely seen in the bottom of the mirror).

Great Vendor and Chip stands behind this terrific product. Driving up here in alberta when it's a bit cooler is great as the buffetting wind is kept out of the car. I have the control module which gives me adjustment over whether the light gets brighter when the brakes ae depressed and how bright it is normally. It doesn't bother me at night when lit and get lots of comments on it. The light is LED and you can get a lot of different colors or have the one that cycles though many colors. I chose orange to match my DSOM.
